i carry your heart with me - e e cummings
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
ee cummings
I couldn't help but blog this poem by e e cummings after reading Bergen's post about the love of his life. I have always loved poetry - I always proudly tell the kids that the only 'A' i received in the HSC was for English literature which included poetry . hahaha. ..Am blogging this piece in between doing preparations for the potato salad, marinating lamb chops and grinding beef for the patties am serving at tomorrow night's dinner! And oh, frying chicken for tonight's dinner, hehe. All these earlier preps are necessary because I need to have time to make and bake the burger buns tomorrow and also fit in a facial/massage session. :D
This poem is dedicated to all who have loved and lost and loved again.... Yup, this tukang masak is a sentimental one and you know what they say about people who are passionate cooks, they are also passionate lovers.... hahaha. Off I go now to check on the chicken that's frying itself to glory!!

Ma'am, are you a homemaker or a restaurant chef. I got the impression you're running a busy restaurant there.
Do you need assistant? I come with experience and good credentials and references.
Bergen,am more a juggler of sorts here...:D tukang masak, tukang cuci, tukang kebun, blogger etc all rolled into one. Haha.
You may be over qualified as assistant in my humble kitchen..;)but how much do you charge? I can only afford free meals and lodging as renumeration. hahaha.
