Deja Vu

A sense of deja vu swept over my being the first time I drove through this road leading up to Iman's school.. Reminded me so much of the walks I used to take with my mates to and from school many many moons ago. Serene. Nostalgic. And the words to Desert Moon, resonates through my head. It feels like only yesterday we walked the tree-lined road of KTDTHB together.

"Is this the train to Desert Moon?" was all she said
but I knew I'd heard that stranger's voice before.
I turned to look into her eyes, but she moved away
She was standing in the rain
Trying hard to speak my name
They say first love never runs dry

The way to put our memories in a tiny cup
We stumbled over words we longed to hear
We talked about the dreams we'd lost, or given up
When the whistle caught the night
And shook silence from my life
As the last train rolled to'rd the moon

Those summer nights
When we were young
We bragged of things
We'd never done
We were dreamers, only dreamers
And in our haste
To grow too soon
We left our innocence on Desert Moon
We were dreamers, only dreamers
On Desert Moon
On Desert Moon
On Desert Moon
Desert Moon

I still can hear the whisper of the summer nights
It echoes in the corners of my heart
The night is true and waiting for the desert train
All the words we meant to say
All the chances swept away
Still remain on the road to undo

Those summer nights, when we were young
We bragged of things we'd never done
We were dreamers, only dreamers
Moments pass, and time moves on
But dreams remain for just as long as there's dreamers
all the dreamers

On Desert Moon
On Desert Moon
On Desert Moon
Desert Moon

Ha, you see the likeness ehh. Ooooh, I so just love those piney smells... One of the smells of Xmas I can never forget..

Imagine us walking so carefreely through those roads at one time. Why did we have to grow up?? hahaha!

Yes, many of us did, didn't we? But i guess the full force of the appreciation bit only came after we left those beloved grounds... when we couldn't roam those roads like we used to once upon a time, eh Uis.
