My Baby Turns 8!

I know it's been mighty quiet on my blogfront lately; a string of happenings have left me and my heart kinda breathless for a bit. But 'life goes on' as they say so here I am once again folks! My heartfelt thanks to all who've continuously popped by to check up on me!! My apologies for disappointing you with no updates..... So here's a little something to share, out of another chapter in my ordinary life.

Boy, how time flies... Whoosh and the littlest member of our family, Iman, turned eight on the 22nd of June. Seems like only yesterday she was a chubby, baby happily gurgling away!! Because her birthday fell on a school day-a Friday, we had to hold her party a day later for the convenience of her buddies, cousins and all. But we had a little do for her at home on the actual day itself and since she requested for a little bbq, that is what we had.. And to keep up with another one of the birthday girl's request, the birthday cake was a chocolate mudcake made by yours truly, as usual.. We were joined by a few of her older brothers' friends that night... Here are some pics to share-

This is the chocolate mudcake I made, sandwiched with whipped cream and covered in chocolate ganache and very simply decorated with Iman's fav - marshmallows! Having a simple & therefore less time-consuming deco for the cake left me with plenty of time to prepare the rest of the food!

Iman blowing out the candles on her cake.Held by a very proud dad!

Food, Food!Food! Here are some of the most requested items in this household-burger buns, potato salad, lamb chops, beef patties,chicken...etc - all home made of course...

Oh, no - wanted to post more pics but my camera batteries have gone flat! Next posting!

I am glad to see that my "worst nightmare" had a good birthday. Hope you didn't forget to buy her the present from us :-)

It will be lonely without second son, but they have to go sometime don't they? Sigh ... sigh ... sigh. Just have faith that you taught them well. All will be well ...

Ray, I've been traveling ... Italy was fantastic ... you would have enjoyed it. We had a three-hour audience with Benedict the 16th ... prayed for all our souls :-)

Off to Voodoo country (New Orleans)this Saturday ... will see if I have the gumption to enter one of those stores. Might bring my rosary with me.

Miss you too.

Haha! You are not the only one who has not been updating her blog. I had to give administrator access to my girl recently as she was complaining that her friends are asking for new pics. Anyway, new pics are up - at least, some of them are. And I have freed access to the blog. So do drop by when you are free.

Is #2 in KL already? Doing course that he was dreaming of? Good for him. I am sure he will do very well. Has a good head for business that one.

Plse give Iman a belated birthday hug from all of us in KL
